Festival of Trees  - Community Tree Tour

The Moose Jaw Health Foundation is opening the doors to a brand-new way for the community to experience the magic of Festival of Trees. For the first time ever, the Foundation is hosting a Festival of Trees Community Tree Tour on Saturday, October 25th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Temple Gardens Centre Curling Rink.

This family-friendly event invites the public to walk through and enjoy the breathtakingly decorated Christmas tree displays donated and sponsored by businesses and organizations before the gala takes place that evening. Admission will be by donation at the door, with every dollar raised staying in Moose Jaw to support the Foundation’s Faster Scans, Better Care Campaign—an initiative to upgrade rural Saskatchewan’s only MRI at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital.

“Festival of Trees has always been about community spirit and generosity,” said Kim Waldo, Volunteer Chair of Festival of Trees. “The Community Tree Tour is an exciting new way for more people to enjoy the magic of Festival while directly supporting improved healthcare for their friends, neighbours, and loved ones.”

Each year, Festival of Trees raises vital funds to enhance medical services at the Wigmore Hospital. In 2025, proceeds will help upgrade MRI services, decreasing scan times, reducing patient waitlists, and introducing advanced cardiac imaging—all critical steps toward faster diagnoses and better care for thousands of patients.

The Community Tree Tour offers a unique opportunity for families, individuals, and groups to get involved, experience the artistry of local businesses and volunteers, and give back to healthcare in Moose Jaw.
